ART OPENINGS IN MUSEUMS AND GALLERIES

Typical of the annual situation just before Christmas, the number of gallery openings this week is smaller than in other weeks. But the big museum shows, listed immediately below, continue, with the Museum of Modern Art's "Recent" Acquisitions," opening Wednesday, as an addition.
