One to See Lamont Johnson's film "One on One" recently opened and is now playing around town in the wake of generally good reviews. Concerned with a high school basketball star's confrontation with the highpressure, big-business world of supposedly amateur athletics, the film, which might have become a cliche, instead gives an audience plenty of action--including a terrific basketball game as a finale--and, according to Vincent Canby, "characters of unexpected backbone."
