In conjunction with the exhibition Alighiero Boetti: Game Plan, curators Christian Rattemeyer and Mark Godfrey moderate two panels of artists, scholars, curators, and writers as they examine Alighiero Boetti’s artistic practice in Italy in the 1970s, a period of radical politics and widespread social conflict, as well as in Afghanistan, where he made his second home between 1971 and 1979. Participants include artists Elisabetta Benassi and Mario Garcia Torres; Mario Calabresi, author and director for the Italian newspaper La Stampa; Jason Smith, art critic and Assistant Professor, Graduate Studies in Art, Art Center College of Design; and others. A paper by Annemarie Sauzeau, art critic and Director, Archivio Alighiero Boetti, will also be presented as part of this program. ]]> ]]> html]]>
