Liverpool is a road movie at the genre’s most austere and refined edge, a finely calibrated investigation of solitude and landscape. A newly disembarked sailor travels through the frigid landscape of Tierra del Fuego to revisit his past. The mesmerizing tale of a son long forgotten and a daughter abandoned unfolds slowly, as the sailor reaches the harsh, forbidding settlement that is his destination. In Spanish; English subtitles. 84 min.
