Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!  Hope you enjoy the holiday season to the fullest, and we’ll be back on January 2.

If you are in New York City for New Year’s Eve, come to MoMA for a special showing of Christian Marclay’s cinematic tour de force The Clock in its entirety, which is the first opportunity for the public to view all 24 hours of the piece at MoMA. The Clock will go on view at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 31, and will run continuously until 5:30 p.m. on January 1. In conjunction with this showing, the Museum’s Cafe 2 restaurant offers a special menu of wines, cheeses, salumi, and desserts on New Year’s Eve from 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., along with an all-night espresso bar. We hope you will join us!

Is all the museum open NY evr

Hi Naomi, the second floor of the Museum is open on New Year’s Eve. Hope you can join us.

As an after hour event, I cannot buy a ticket online and show that as a pass to get through police barriers. Do you foresee any problem getting to the museum as many streets will be closed off for New Years?

hi, street closures for the Time Square New Year’s eve celebration will impact us at MoMA, especially on the 6th Avenue side. Below is the information about street closures:

Monday, December 31, 2012 starting approximately 3:00 pm until 3:00 am Tuesday, January 1, 2013 closures within the Times Square area as permitted by the NYPD will be as follows: Seventh Avenue and Broadway between 41st Street and 59th Streets, inclusive of all cross streets.

In addition, following streets will be closed:
41st Street between 8th & 6th Avenues
58th Street between 8th & 6th Avenues
8th Avenue between 41st & 58th Streets
6th Avenue between 41st & 58th Streets (All inclusive)

Hope this is helpful and that you can still join us.
