In celebration of the Fourth of July, here’s an oh-so-appropriate recent acquisition to MoMA’s collection. Jasper Johns’s screenprint Flags I (1973) is currently on view in the exhibition New to the Print Collection: Matisse to Bourgeois, in the Prints and Illustrated Books Galleries through January 7, 2013.

From all of us here at The Museum of Modern Art, have a wonderful holiday.

Good morning,

is the MoMA opened on independence day?

Thanks & best regards, Dirk

Hi Dirk.

Yes, MoMA is open on the Fourth of July. In fact, because it falls on a Thursday this year, we will be open until 8:00 p.m. as part of MoMA Nights: http://www.moma.org/visit/calendar/events/21211

Hope to see you then!
