Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans. 1927. USA. Directed by F. W. Murnau. With Janet Gaynor, George O'Brien. Murnau's first Hollywood feature, infused with sound experimentation and a gracefulness of cinematography heretofore unseen in narrative cinema, transcends its simple love-triangle story with dazzling performances and a distinctive visual language. Silent, with music track. 97 min.
