An Evening with Oliver Stone and World Trade Center

Oliver Stone and Paramount Pictures recently donated to MoMA a print of Stone’s latest film, World Trade Center, completing the Museum’s holdings of the director’s work to date. In recognition of this gift, the Department of Film invites Stone to discuss his film at a special screening.

World Trade Center. 2006. USA. Directed by Oliver Stone. Screenplay by Andrea Beloff, based on the experiences of John McLoughlin and William Jimeno. With Nicolas Cage, Michael Pena. McLoughlin and Jimeno, two Port Authority policemen, were buried under the rubble at Ground Zero on 9/11. World Trade Center focuses on the men’s families and the rescuers who put themselves in harm’s way. 129 min.
