An Evening with Eddie Lawrence

Performer, writer, painter, and “jazzy old philosopher” Eddie Lawrence recalls his career on stage, screen, radio, and television, reminiscing about his relationships with the artists Fernand Léger and Henri Matisse, and media personalities like Major Bowes, Judy Holliday, and Johnny Carson. He discusses his work in the films Act of Love (1953), The Night They Raided Minsky’s (1968), and The Wild Party (1975), and performs songs from the musicals Bells Are Ringing, Kelly, and 3-Penny Opera.
