September 30 marks the centenary of the birth of writer-director
Michael Powell (1905–1990), one of cinema’s greatest
artists. To commemorate this occasion, the Department of Film and
Media presents one of Powell’s most beloved collaborations
with Emeric Pressburger.
Organized by Laurence Kardish, Senior Curator, Department
of Film and Media, and Thelma Schoonmaker.
