Morris Engel’s Weddings and Babies: Newly Preserved
August 20 and 29, 2005

Organized by Anne Morra, Assistant Curator, Department of Film and Media.

Written and directed by Morris Engel, and filmed entirely in New York City, Weddings and Babies (1958) is the story of a couple, played by Viveca Lindfors and John Myhers, who struggle between her biological clock and his inability to commit to their future. This Critics Award–winner at the 1958 Venice Film Festival was preserved in 2004 by The Museum of Modern Art, with materials supplied by Morris Engel. 78 min.
