Acquired by the Nationalgalerie Berlin, by 1935; sold (by exchange) to Kurt Feldhäusser (1905-1945), Berlin and Kirchberg, 1936-1945; by inheritance to Marie Luise Feldhaeusser (1876-1967), Kurt Feldhäusser's mother, Kirchberg and Brooklyn, 1945-1949; on consignment to E. Weyhe Gallery, New York, 1949; sold to The Museum of Modern Art, New York, 1949.
