As the saying goes, “Behind every great man there’s a great woman.” And until recently, female artists have stayed hidden, languishing in the shadows of art history. Join us to explore the exhibition Making Space: Women Artists and Postwar Abstraction, which highlights work made by women artists between 1945 and 1968, and see how women were innovating during this important time in modern art history.
This session is led by Lauren Kaplan.
Join us for lively conversations and engaging activities, facilitated by Museum educators, that offer insightful and unusual ways to engage with MoMA’s collection and special exhibitions.
