Keno Bates is a dealer at the Double Stamp Saloon, where Anita, a dance hall girl, is in love with him. After a run of bad cards, gambler Jim Maitland tries to rob Keno. Keno shoots him dead and discovers on Maitland’s body a note from the gambler’s sister saying she is arriving on the next stagecoach.
