What object will we need 10 years from now? Discover the practice of “Design Fiction” in this hands-on workshop. Kids and caregivers will work together to playfully imagine and build a prototype of an object that someone might use in the future. Participants will visit the exhibition Pirouette: Turning Points in Design to see a selection of objects that have transformed the world with new materials, technologies, and concepts.
Kids and adults participate. Only kids ages 10 through 14 will be permitted to attend.
Online registration is required. Scroll down to the event listings to register. The workshop is free for children and adults and includes admission to the Museum. Sign up for one session only, as the program will be repeated.
