Erik Patton joined MoMA in 2008 and is the Director of Exhibition Planning and Administration. He oversees Exhibition Management and Performance and Live Programs, two areas responsible for producing (e.g., timelines, contracts, budgets, insurance, etc.) MoMA’s annual on- and off-site exhibition program. Prior to joining MoMA’s exhibitions team, Patton worked in MoMA’s Finance and Strategic Planning Office from 2008 to 2012. He is currently a member of the International Exhibition Organizers (IEO) and the American Exhibition Organizers (AEO) groups. Before joining MoMA, he worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and private equity at First Atlantic Capital. He holds a BA from Harvard College and an MFA from Hunter College, City University of New York, and was a resident at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Patton is also a visual artist.
